One Month Stats: 8 pounds, 1.5 oz, 21.75 inches long
Size: Mostly newborn and some 0-3 months (newborn diapers).
Nicknames: Baby Kakes, Babby Bubba, Ty Ty, Little Man, Grunty
Must haves: Mommy's boob, pacifier
Milestones this month (in no particular order): Pushing up with arms and legs, rolling over, turning head from side to side, first cloth diapers, first bath, wet mommy and daddy's bed, first stroller outing, first photo shoot (newborn, 7 days old), smacking your lips, scooting around your crib/packnplay, first Skype.

Dear Ty,

This has been the most amazing month of our lives and we're so glad we finally got to meet you! You're such a sweet baby, not requiring much from us than a full belly and lots of snuggly naps - which we happily oblige you with. You're nursing like a champ, and mommy loves that she can give you (what seems to be) your favorite (and only) food right now. Your sleeping...well, you do sleep most of the day, but generally only a few hours or so at a time. Thats okay, we know that you'll eventually get into your own rhythm. Once we realized that you're a stomach sleeper, we all started sleeping alot more.

Everyday you're discovering more about life outside the womb. And revealing more of your personality. You're already such an independent baby - trying to put your pacifier back in your mouth when it falls out, "helping" mommy breastfeed you, and scooting around when you're looking for something to eat. You inherited that independent streak from mommy and daddy and we're already gearing up for your next moves - lol. You make some of the funniest little faces and we know your first real smiles are right around the corner. You're a grunty baby - often making noises while napping and during the night (and of course when you're hungry). Wet diapers don't seem to phase you much now, but we're expecting that to change as you get a little older.

This first month was a big adjustment for all of us, and we made it. Thanks for being so patient with us while we try to figure out what you want and need. Your dad and I feel so privileged to be your parents and we hope we're doing a good job. We are totally in love and we cant imagine life without you.
